The December meeting for Hugh De Pudsey, who meet in Darlington, wasn’t just about festive celebrations as charity was at the forefront. The members had invited the captain of the Darlington Golf Club, Steve Howe, along to their meeting to receive a charitable donation for the Alzheimer’s Society. Steve has raised a whopping £7,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society in the last year with the support of the golf club and donations like the one presented by the members of Hugh De Pudsey. It’s a subject that he is very aware of and is close to Steve’s heart with his wife also being a sufferer. The master of the lodge, Chris Howard, was extremely pleased to be able to present the cheque for £600 to Steve on behalf of the lodge members.
