2025 Ravensworth Golf Tournament

The playing of the 2025 Ravensworth Masonic Golf Trophy will take place on Thursday, the 3rd of July 2025 hosted once more by our supporting friends at Roseberry Grange Golf Club, Pelton.

This Competition was first introduced in 1921 by the then Provincial Grand Master, The Lord Ravensworth. The first Winners were from the Lodge of Industry. Over the past 104 years it has been the focus of an enjoyable day out for Brethren who like their golf. Whatever their ability they can come along, enter this Annual Competition and enjoy masonic fellowship and at the same time raise funds for worthy causes.

To win the Ravensworth Trophy, the winning pair must be two Freemasons from the Province of Durham, representinga named lodge, of which at least one of the pair is a member. Non-masonic guests are welcome to play and, although ineligible to win the Trophy, will receive a prize if finishing in a ‘placed’ position. There will also be prizes for Nearest-The-Pin and the Longest Drive.

The entry fee is £75 per two-ball or £150 per four-ball, which includes Bacon Roll and Coffee/Tea on arrival and a two-course meal afterwards. This year the funds raised will be donated to the ARMED FORCES CHARITY, a very worthycause. It is requested that entries are made either as a Foursome or as a Pair. Tee times are reserved from 10am and those wishing to enter should contact Alan Jenkins on alan202@btinernet.com (07780 304364) or Martin Rankin at martin.rankin@icloud.com (07850 527100) and let them know your preferred tee-off time. Buggies are available but must be booked in advance.

Entries can only be confirmed on receipt of payment which can be either by cheque - payable to “Ravensworth Golf Trophy” or by bank transfer to Ravensworth Golf Trophy, Sort Code 20-45-45, Account No. 03562204.

All holes can be sponsored at a very reasonable cost of £25 with the sponsors details on the Tee Box and full recognition given to the company, business or organisation. We welcome any contributions towards this by contacting Craig Pattison at craigpattison3@gmail.com (07921 220186) for further details.

A Raffle will also be held on the day and any donated prizes would be appreciated.

We look forward to welcoming you to this very special Masonic Social Event, one that we hope you will support, but more particularly enjoy, if you participate in it.
