Get to Know Us

Who We Are

Hebburn Lodge No7201 is one of 6 Lodges that Meet in Jarrow Masonic Hall. The Lodge was consecrated in 1952 and was originally Heabrym Lodge which originated from the Anglo Saxon word for Hebburn. The Lodge Amalgamated with Palmer Lodge No9255 in 2018 marking a first for The Province of Durham.

Whilst the Lodge originally drew its membership from heavy Industry based on the banks of the River Tyne from such famous companies such Reyrolle, Swan Hunter, and Pyrotenax, the lodge now has a quite diverse membership from a wide variety of backgrounds.

What We Do

We are like-minded people who enjoy themselves in each other’s company and that of our visitors and guests, who we are always very happy to see and greet.

We pride ourselves on the high standard of our ceremonial at our meetings, The ritual of which we are held in high renown by other local Lodges.

The dining after our meeting, known as the Festive Board, whilst conforming to all protocols, are relaxed affairs offering an excellent opportunity to get to know members and those visiting from other Lodges. We organise and participate in many initiatives at the Wearside Masonic Temple, Open Days, Heritage Days, social events, etc.

As well as working within the Lodge, we support other Lodges through regular visits and enjoy.
