Strathmore let off steam for summer
The brethren of Strathmore lodge, who meet in Barnard Castle, take every opportunity to get back together over the summer break with a great social event that all the members’ families can enjoy too. This year it was held at The South Tynedale Railway at Alston, where everyone enjoyed a ride on the steam train before a meal and social evening to wind down, held in the station restaurant. Lodge member and Officer of the United Grand Lodge of England, Alan Farrar, can be seen in the photograph joining in the fun, perched on a sign with a vantage point ensuring that things don’t get too out of hand!
