Masonic Halls Centres of Excellence – Stockton
On Saturday morning, 27th April 2019, 27 people attended the first of the “Your Masonic Hall” presentations at Stockton Masonic Hall – Wellington Street – Stockton.
Gordon Brewis Assistant Provincial Grand Master stood up, welcomed everyone, and then started the presentation.
Throughout the whole presentation Gordon mentioned that he and his team were available not only for presentations but for help and advice about any or all the Masonic Halls in the Province Durham.
After introducing everyone on his team, Gordon then went on to talk about what the presentation would be about.
Then Ian Turnbull (Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works) stood and talked about the progress to date of halls in the Province of Durham, Paul Swanbury (Facility Manager) talked about Maintenance of buildings and Stephen Willis stood and talked about Viability of Existing Centres.
Gordon went on to talk about the possibility of a New Build hall and gave the example of what happened in Northampton and what they did. They were diagrams and a visual walkthrough of the New Build.
The presentation lasted just over 1 hour but with questions and answers took it close to the 2 hours running time.
Obviously there was a lot more talked about in this Presentation and this was a really interesting Presentation – Highly recommended to everyone not just members of any Halls Management committees.
