Jarrow Jaguars delighted

Harry Prince, the Benevolent Representative for Hebburn was delighted to visit the Jarrow FC Jaguars Under 14 Team before kick off on Saturday 19th January at Hedworthfield Community Association to present a cheque for £250.00 on behalf of the “Community Support Grant Scheme” arm of the Durham Benevolent Fund.

 

“Jaguars” Team Representative Andrea Thompson, the recipient of the cheque told Harry that this grant would go towards new tracksuits or hooded tops and that all of the players and coaches were extremely grateful to the local Freemasons for their support.

 

Coaches Gary and Paul explained that the team, who play in the Russell Foster Youth League, which plays on a Saturday morning, consists of 16 players including one girl. They all really enjoy their football which includes  training, which is at present once a week but there are plans to extend this to twice a week followed by the match on a Saturday .
