Stephen Walker
Stephen William Walker, PGStB

EComp Stephen William Walker was appointed and installed as Second Provincial Grand Principal on 1st November 2011.

He was exalted into Rose of Raby Chapter No1650 (Staindrop) in 1990, served as their 1st Principal in 1995 and currently holds the office of Treasurer.

In 2000 he was appointed Past Provincial Deputy Grand Sword Bearer and promoted to Past Provincial Grand Registrar in 2005.

In Supreme Grand Chapter he was honoured as Past Grand Standard Bearer in 2008.

Stephen was born in Darlington and currently lives near Yarm. He attended the University of Aston in Birmingham, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacy in 1977. He married Helen in 1980 and together they owned and ran two community pharmacies, but is now semi-retired. They have three children, David, Catherine and Sarah who all live in the area and one grand-daughter, Georgia.

Initiated into Freemasonry into the same Lodge as his father, Castle Lodge No6713 (Staindrop) in 1978 he served as Master in 1987, 1997 and 2000, has been Director of Ceremonies and is currently Secretary and Benevolent Representative.

In 1996 he was appointed Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer and promoted to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 2003.

Outside Freemasonry, Stephen is a Justice of the Peace, enjoys trying to play golf, scuba-diving and spending time with his family.
